E-INVOICING · EUROPE
E-invoicing ready — across the EU.
Every EU country is rolling out mandatory e-invoicing on its own timeline. Agency OS generates compliant e-invoices — ZUGFeRD in Germany, Factur-X in France, and more as each mandate lands — directly from your workflow.
Try Base
All mandates so far are domestic only. They apply when both the sender and the client are based in the same country. For cross-border B2B invoices — say, a German freelancer billing a French client — a normal PDF invoice remains legally sufficient. That only changes once the EU's cross-border rule (ViDA) takes effect in the 2030s.
Context
What is e-invoicing?
The EU is moving every member state toward mandatory e-invoicing — each on its own schedule. Germany started first, in 2025; Belgium, Poland, and Greece followed in 2026; France, the UK, and others are next. An e-invoice is not a PDF — it contains machine-readable XML that can be processed automatically.
The e-invoicing mandate. What you need to know.
Across Europe, countries are introducing their own e-invoicing systems one at a time. Belgium, Poland, and Greece already have live mandates; France and the UK follow soon. Agency OS keeps you compliant wherever your business is based — today and tomorrow.
